Standards:
For our Project-Based Learning project, we also used the problem-based teaching approach that explores real-world problems, such as whether you are a healthy sports fan or not, by combining critical thinking, problem solving, inquiry, and skills. In our project, we followed the NETS Standard for problem solving. To coincide with the NETS standards, students must use critical thinking to plan, solve problems, and manage projects, while also forming informed decisions. Therefore, our project assesses these standards in the following ways: 1. Students will identify the significant questions of “What is a healthy sports fan?” and “Am I one of these healthy sports fans?” when they hear all the information, play the BINGO class activity, and are presented with the QR codes at the different sports fields. 2. They will plan and manage activities, such as BINGO and how to portray themselves as the two extremes of sports fans at the different sports fields, in order to complete these projects. 3. They will collect and analyze all of the information given to them throughout the project, including our Prezi and websites and photo gallery and the survey they will be sending out, to make the informed decision of whether they are a healthy sports fan or not and if they are not, how to become one. 4. They will use multiple processes and diverse perspectives, through the Prezi, the survey, the websites, the pictures, to explore alternative solutions. |
